Best wishes!
You're good people BFP, put on the mask and never look back.
i dunno, you could always just delete the content that you feel concerned about? A 2004 NG account is ViNtAgE DuDe!!!! really tho
you will be missed
good
This is a problem the NG team is currently working on, which the next update is going to address. All audio pre-2013 is gonna be changed to no use without author permission.
I'm talking to Tom about it right now. The issue is not just pre-2013, everything in my history was affected. Including my tracks in 2014
Shit. I've got to look at mine, then. I'd be sad to see you go, though. Things are changing around NG. Song theft and intellectual property rights are getting better, etc. I'm mostly here just because I need a place to post my craft that doesn't charge or let people repost it without my permission like YT. They actually care. :/
good luck in life. come back anytime you feel like.
I don't really know you that well, but you seem like a cool person. Sorry to hear that you've had trouble from people with your music, it's never a fun thing to deal with.
Good luck wherever you go man.
For anyone curious about what's up since I've talked to BFP via pm... This is related to something that happened where apparently any submission that had never set any licensing data was set to the current form default, which defaults to a CC license that allows commercial use. We've still been trying to figure out the latest date that was impacted - we initially thought pre-2013 but it goes more recent than that (@EDM364 since my post in the mod lounge was based on the pre-2013 expectation).
This was discovered in August of 2016 and as a band aid, we stopped showing CC license data on the listen page - it just tells people to contact the artist if they want to use the song. So on the front end the incorrect data isn't visible but if a song owner looks at the project details for their older music, they may notice it has a license setting they didn't specify.
Our solution is going to be to remove all existing licensing data (up to the latest impacted date) when we roll out our bulk licensing management tool. All music will basically say what it does now on the front end but as artists add CC licenses it will properly represent them on the listen page.
Hope things go well!
Wow... that was sudden... i 'm glad to see that youre still working on music and things, and i will miss following you here on newgrounds. I wish you the best luck Purgy, and i will keep following you on FB and YT.
And i don't really use Discord a lot, but may i join in the server?
Send me a PM with your discord tag, and I'll send you a message.
