With a vet appointment in 4 hours to have one of my dogs, Jade, put down... About an hour ago... we found her dead in the yard.

She was suffering from epilepsy, and more recently, from bleeding ulcers... She refused to eat, and spent the majority of her time hiding in familiar, but out of the way places... Which as someone who's had dogs/cats their entire lives, I know that this means that they are waiting to die.

She was suffering, so we decided to do the humane thing and have her put down before she suffered more than necessary, as there was nothing the vets could have done for her.
She didn't last until the vet appointment...

Jade was 4 years old.

I'm very sorry for you. I've only had my first dog a few months now and I couldn't imagine what I'd feel like if she died now, let alone if I'd had her my whole life. She was a very beautiful dog and once again I'm sorry.

Feel pretty bad that your dog was hiding away in your garden, ready to die, yet she was only 4 years old - about 28 in dog years.

It's a real shame to be ready for the next life at such a young age.

That's really sad. I'm sorry for your loss. I've had dogs die before, but I was too young to remember how it felt, but I can barely imagine losing my current dog.

Four years old it's early, even for a big dog.
I had cats and dogs since my birth so i know what it is. Sorry for this loss
