Never cease to amaze me. I love your style, a lot of depth and color to it.

Keep up the awesome work.

I Love Dragons

Dragons have always been, and probably will always be my favorite animal, who cares if they're fantasy or not.

I really love the detail that was put into the dragons main body, especially the red highlights used on the head and neck. I do however think a little more detail could've been put into the wings and the background, they seem rather dull and lifeless in comparison to the focal point of the piece. The one black/dark red wing looks fine, but the rest looked like they were just slapped on as afterthoughts.

Regardless, it is very well done, and I have gone ahead and named this my pick for Art of the Week, gratz!

Thanks.

Congratulations, I already had suspicions that my cats were planning to kill me in my sleep. Now I won't be able to sleep at all.

Overall though, absolutely amazing piece, if a little disturbing... I can't really find anything to complain about, aside from the fact I have no idea what that lump of flesh hanging from his chest is... And honestly, I'm not sure I want to.

Regardless, congratz, I'm now more afraid of my own cats... and I've chosen this as my pick for my Art of the Week!

Many thanks for the feature! :D

Needs more reviews!

Gritty, dark, huge axe, demonic looking fingers... this picture is right up my alley.

I love how this draws a very thin line between dark fantasy and cyberpunk... then takes that line and blurs it, without destroying the aspect of either style. I especially like the detail you put into the axe and sword.

If there was anything that bugged me about his, it would be the "beasts" face, it looks really out of place with the rest of the picture to me for some reason, I can't really put my finger on why though. Kind of has a "baby face" maybe? Which is contrasting heavily with the more mature feel of the rest of the picture.

Aside from that though, awesome work! Like this enough that I've named it my pick for Art of the Week! Congratz!

Many thanks

Gorgeous

Absolutely gorgeous piece, I really love how you handled the lighting, it really adds to the overall feel of the picture, as well as how you took the time to include a background (Even if it's not nearly as detailed as the foreground), as many artists seem to pass over now-a-days.

As for improvements, the only real gripe I have, is that she is rather really tiny, or that violin is freaking massive. Or it could just be the way I'm looking at the picture... I'm so out of practice as an artist it's not even funny.

Either way, gorgeous picture, it's my pick for "Art of the Week"! Congratz and keep up the awesome work!

Poor Navi

Navi was a kind fairy, willing to help elven boys in need. Willing to go the extra mile to save Hyrule and it's wide variety of peoples.

She lived a good life, around good people. But now, she has left us, she will always be remembered. We shall erect a tombstone, and it will read...

"Hey! Listen!"

Syringes responds:

XD Brilliant!

Very well done.

I am impressed, I love the contrast between the warm/cold colors, and I love how the robot has a seemingly organic eye, just makes it that much more intimidating. And being a sucker for detail, I'm also pleased to see the subtle, yet visible nail marks in the snow. Gives the impression they were about to get away... oh the suspense!
The frost effect you've got going on is quite nice as well.

As for improvements, maybe it's just me, but the background seems a little more rushed in contrast to the foreground, lacking some of the finer detail, almost making it seem like 2 different pictures just thrown on top of each other.

That aside, great work... And if this is going somewhere as you imply... Color me intrigued.

Syringes responds:

Aww! Thank you for the review! Hehe, I agree with you though. Definitely rushed bg, which is why i am thinking about fixin it up a bit. I guess I wanted all the focus to go tot he characters, but that doesnt mean i cant mack the bg interesting too haha.
Also, keep an eye out, it will be a while but we are working on a project. I am so excited.

Mesmerizing

I don't know what it is about this piece, but it really caught my eye.

It could be the way you utilized depth with the branch right out front being so much sharper, it could just be the simple yet elegant style, or maybe I'm just drawn to atmospheric trees.

Whatever it is, I liked it enough that I have named this my pick for "Art of the Week", congratulations!

I approve of this message.

Hi, I'm Back-From-Purgatory, and I approve of this message, armor bikinis are dangerous creations that must be redesigned to be able to protect from more than a slight breeze.

Seriously though, statement aside, I love the detail you put into the armor, especially the chain link. My biggest complaint is that her legs look a little off, she looks extremely bull legged.

Either way, I liked this enough to feature it as my pick for Art of the Week! Congratulations!

Astonishing

When I first saw this while browsing the art portal for a weekly pick, I immediately thought, "Photography doesn't belong in the Art Portal!"

It wasn't until I blew up the picture to take a closer look that I realized it's actually a painting, at which point my jaw nearly hit the floor.

Really, the only thing that makes it an obvious painting after more than a glance is the hair to me, the clothes I think look really nice... but then, I'm a musician, not a painter, so damned if I know what I'm talking about.

In any case, I absolutely love this, and have featured it as my weekly pick for Art! Gratz!
