Guild Wars 2
So, if any of you are gamers, I'm sure you've noticed that Guild Wars 2 officially launched yesterday. Personally, I've been playing since the 25th, because I prepurchased the game... And what a game... I'm having a total blast, loving everything about it so far.

And I'm inviting anyone interested in the game to come join me on the Darkhaven server, and if it suits your liking, in the guild I created... incidentally named "Back From Purgatory"... I had actually just made the guild to check out the systems, I didn't expect it to go anywhere, but then I used my 1k influence boost on the guild... so changing the name now would be kind of a waste.
But yeah, if anyone's interested, feel free to join me in game... I've no big plans for the guild at all, aside from just having some fun and getting some guild upgrades. And better yet, you can join more than 1 guild in Guild Wars 2... which means you can both be a part of my shitty guild and a more serious one if you so choose!
So yeah, feel free to hit me up in game, my "tag" is: BFPurgatory.6935

Music
So... As some of you are aware, I put up a new preview of a song going on my album a couple weeks back, however, I've since updated the project with a slightly newer, longer version, which includes the entire first section of the song, and I re-recorded the guitar part in the beginning, because it felt kind of sluggish before... So if you haven't already, please do check it out and let me know what you think so far!
Awakening (Updated)

Misc Stuff
I changed up my profile pictures (Including my forum signature) again... but this time it doesn't really have an overall theme aside from including some of my favorite characters from one thing or another.
So, I'm opening things up for theme suggestions again for my next switch... because I can, and because I'm too lazy to come up with one on my own. So... Go nuts!

And just because... here's some really nice music I found recently, a bit different than what I usually share... but I absolutely love mellow stuff like this:

Well, time to bring you guys another update on the album. I spent most of the day today recording, and what you are about to hear is the product of my efforts.

This will be the second of 2 new metal tracks on the album (The first being Dream (Part Two)), and seems it will also be the first time I put Brass instruments to good use.

Give 'er a listen, let me know what you think!

Awakening (Preview)

There's still a lot of work to be done on this one, but hopefully I'll have it finished soon, and I'll be able to move on to the other 2 genres I have in mind for the album.

And again, just in case you forgot, the album will be titled "To The End Of The World", and you can secure a copy now by making a donation (Link is on the left side of the page under "Contact Info/Websites"). Make sure to let me know your NG username should you decide to do this, as NG will be the primary means of me getting a hold of you once the album is done!

I said I would, so I did... unfortunately, I couldn't really seem to avoid getting a ton of reflection/glare, so... yeah...

Without further ado, my very reflective eye (Yes, this is all you're getting, sorry):

*****For starters, this is a totally random newspost, and will contain no worthwhile information whatsoever. Your opinion may vary.*****

I have a confession to make, as most of you are already well aware, I have a thing for blood... It's not sexual by any means, nor am I pretending I'm some kind of vampire.. I don't like gore, I don't drink blood, I don't snort it, etc. etc...

However, a lesser known quirk of mine (Which some of you may or may not have picked up on-on your own), is eyes. I find eyes very, very attractive. More so than any other physical feature. I can be easily mesmerized by a clear, beautiful set of eyes on top of anything else.

Why am I bringing this up? Because recently, when a chat with a friend brought up quirks about ourselves, I was trying to describe how my right eye has a dot in it, and also has a slight gradient from grey to green/hazel (Note: We were talking on skype, not in person, this is the reason I was trying to explain it instead of just showing them)... I could not seem to find any pictures with anyone else with a dot in their eye surprisingly enough... But while I was looking, I was reminded of how beautiful I found something that is often overlooked.

I am debating taking a good shot of one of my eyes to use as a new profile pic/user icon... However, until that comes to be, you guys will have to settle with a beautiful picture I found via google (Which in no way represents my eyes... I just thought it was pretty):

Some of you may remember the subject of my last newspost... Most notably how I put up a preview to one of the 6 new songs going on my upcoming album.

Well... I've done a little more tweaking to the song, and decided a 1 min preview isn't enough, so I've uploaded the entire song to my Soundcloud account for your listening pleasure (Sorry, downloads are disabled!).

Dream (Part Two) - Full Song!

In other news, I have decided what I will be calling the album... Being 2012, and considering the general style of my music, I found it very fitting to call my upcoming album "To The End Of The World".

Other songs are still in the works, but I hope to have another preview up for you guys soon!

I keep going on and on about how I'm working on the album, but I've yet to show you guys any progress... So, that's exactly what I plan on doing today, because I spent all day recording just for you.

May I gladly present the first minute of one of the upcoming songs from my album:

Dream (Part Two)

I wrestled with figuring out what part of the song I was going to preview, because each section has it's own charm... but opted to go with the intro because... I dunno... It most represents how it relates to Dream (Part One)... Which I'll be rerecording and putting on the album by the way.

Anywho, give the preview a listen, let me know what you think, and if you haven't done so already, feel free to donate using the link on the left of the page (conveniently titled "Donate!") to get a copy of my album when it is finished!
... Or don't... and just buy it when it's released... Or don't at all... and make me a sad panda.

Ok, emo time over my dog is done, I appreciate all the kind words and such you guys left.

As a change of pace... and to get such a depressing newspost out of the way... Here are some random notes:

1: I've got more games than I have time to play lately, including Dragon's Dogma, SSX, FFXIII-2, Tales of Graces F, and I also spent a little time playing the Guild Wars 2 beta last weekend.

2: I'm still working on that album... although I'm finding more and more project files missing after my recent reformat... which is making the plan of fleshing out old ideas (And ones that no one has heard yet) kind of hard to follow up on... as a lot of those old ideas seem to have been lost when I reformatted.

3: I'm getting better at piano, I've taken up doing actual exercises to get better instead of just trying to learn songs one after another.

4: This is a random newspost.

5: Has some music that I've been really into lately:

PS:
@Sexplosion: Yes, I do take forum modding seriously... I wouldn't have been modded if they were expecting me to half ass it.

Also, to round out this random newspost... Here's a fun picture... that depicts pretty well the theme I'll be revisiting soon, because blood is gorgeous:

With a vet appointment in 4 hours to have one of my dogs, Jade, put down... About an hour ago... we found her dead in the yard.

She was suffering from epilepsy, and more recently, from bleeding ulcers... She refused to eat, and spent the majority of her time hiding in familiar, but out of the way places... Which as someone who's had dogs/cats their entire lives, I know that this means that they are waiting to die.

She was suffering, so we decided to do the humane thing and have her put down before she suffered more than necessary, as there was nothing the vets could have done for her.
She didn't last until the vet appointment...

Jade was 4 years old.

So, I was checking my youtube profile today for new comments/subscribers... and someone had commented on the the video I have up of the slower/older version of Final Flight... They were asking me to upload the older version here, or even put it on Amazon so they could buy it.

So.. I was happy, I promptly opened up my projects folder and scrolled down to where both the project file and the MP3 of the song should be....

...To find that they were both missing.
I have recently reformatted my computer... and as always, no matter how hard you try to back everything up... you always seem to miss something. In this case, I somehow missed not only the MP3s, but the project files for both the old AND new versions of Final Flight.

This of course is greatly frustrating, because Final Flight was the longest song I have ever written, it was also one of my first adventures into trance... as well as my most popular song with more than 29,000 views on a fan upload on youtube.

This makes me wonder what else I ended up losing when I reformatted... I'm not looking forward to finding out.

Ok, that's enough of kawaii panda... Back to a theme more my style... This one suggested by ancientsurvivor.

If you don't know the origin, I don't know you.

Also... Check out the 8 Bit Loop I did for veselekov:
Linkage

Is the first time I've ever... ever... tried writing anything with 8 bit sounds... So hopefully it's not freaking terrible.
